Canton (CC) Added to Korean Won Market
Bithumb has introduced Canton (CC) to its Korean-won market. According to reports covering the listing, the integration comes as the institutional blockchain looks to tap into retail liquidity.
Metaplex (MPLX) and Nexus (NEX) Scheduled for KRW Trading
Additional expansion plans involve the platform adding Metaplex (MPLX) and Nexus (NEX). Bithumb scheduled these specific additions for KRW trading on July 3.
Broader South Korean Exchange Activity
The listings on Bithumb coincide with broader trading movements across the South Korean digital asset market. Dual listings in South Korea previously drove an 82% surge for the Ethereum layer-2 token AZTEC. Simultaneously, Upbit launched a listing for CAP across its KRW, BTC, and USDT trading pairs, while SPX6900 experienced a 4.06% price increase amid local Korean listings and whale accumulation.
