During his testimony, Lamarre-Condon provided the court with an account of his professional background, detailing graphic incidents he encountered while serving as a police officer. He told the court he could vividly recall between 12 and 15 traumatic events, including witnessing suicides involving trains and hangings.

Lamarre-Condon also spoke about his relationship with the victim, Jesse Baird. He described Baird as an outgoing individual who shared similar interests, noting that they both held scuba diving certifications and participated in various sporting activities together.
