A mass shooting in Poland's second-largest city left six people dead and more than a dozen others injured, with authorities confirming a British citizen was among the victims. The attack took place on Saturday in Krakow's bustling Main Market Square.

According to police, a 25-year-old Polish man drove a vehicle into the crowded tourist area wearing military-style attire and opened fire indiscriminately using military weapons. The gunman was eventually shot, wounded, and subdued by responding officers during an exchange of gunfire. One police officer was critically injured in the operation, and a total of 16 people sustained injuries.

Polish officials stated that the suspect was inspired by far-right ideologies. Following the rampage, Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that authorities searching the suspect's home discovered three additional bodies, which were subsequently identified as the gunman's parents and sister.
