US Open runner-up Ben Shelton has added Juan Carlos Ferrero to his coaching team, creating a high-profile partnership aimed at elevating the American's game to the next level. Ferrero is widely recognized for his successful tenure guiding Carlos Alcaraz to multiple Grand Slam titles before the pair recently parted ways.
BBC Sport has analyzed the strategic fit of the new collaboration, examining how Ferrero's tactical expertise and championship pedigree could help Shelton mount a serious challenge against the world's elite players—including his coach's former protege, Alcaraz.
The new alliance brings together one of the sport's most explosive young talents and a proven mentor known for developing Grand Slam champions. As the tennis tour looks toward upcoming events, observers will be watching closely to see how quickly Ferrero's influence shapes Shelton's competitive approach on the court.
