Single mum's plea for Budget help

A single mother who limits her weekly shop to a tight budget has told the BBC what she wants from this year's Budget.

Sarah, who lives in the north of England, said she struggles to make ends meet on her low income. She wants the Chancellor to increase the amount of free childcare available to low-income families, so she can work more hours and earn a higher income.

Sarah, who asked not to be identified by her surname, said: "I'm a single mum and I'm struggling to make ends meet. I'm on a very low income and I have to be very careful with my money. I limit my weekly shop to a tight budget, but it's not always easy."

She added: "I would love it if the Chancellor could increase the amount of free childcare available to low-income families. This would allow me to work more hours and earn a higher income, which would really help me to get back on my feet."

Sarah is not alone in her plea. Many people across the UK are calling on the Chancellor to make changes to the Budget that will benefit them.
