Manchester Airport Trains Disrupted Due to Signalling Fault
A signalling fault at Manchester Airport has caused significant disruption to rail services, affecting Northern, TransPennine Express, and Transport for Wales trains. The issue, which first occurred before 6am on October 23, has reoccurred, resulting in cancellations and delays for the remainder of the day.
National Rail has warned passengers of all-day disruption, with services operating between Manchester Airport and Manchester Piccadilly expected to be affected. The fault has caused some trains to run late, while others have been cancelled. TransPennine Express initially expected its services to be restored by 8:15am, but the latest updates suggest ongoing disruption.
Passengers are advised to check the latest information before traveling, as the situation is subject to change. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
