Paul Howard, the son of legendary The Three Stooges member Moe Howard, passed away earlier this week in Manhattan at the age of 91, according to reports from Variety.
Throughout his life, Paul Howard served as a dedicated guardian of his father's comedic legacy. He regularly connected with generations of fans at conventions and public events, sharing cherished family memories, personal stories, and insights into Moe Howard's life and career. In 2015, he expanded on that preservation effort by hosting the nine-part docuseries “Hey Moe, Hey Dad!,” which explored the history of The Three Stooges using archival footage, family accounts, and interviews with relatives of various troupe members alongside celebrity fans like Whoopi Goldberg and Leonard Maltin.
Paul Howard was born on July 8, 1935, in New York City, an event famously marked by chaotic and comedic circumstances recounted in his sister Joan Howard Maurer’s book, Growing Up Stooge. He is survived by his wife, Joanne, and his daughter, Jennifer.
