InterContinental Hotels Group PLC has released its trading update for the third quarter ending 30 September 2026, highlighting a global acceleration in revenue per available room (RevPAR) and continued expansion in its development pipeline.

According to the company update published on 22 October 2026, global RevPAR increased by 5.3% during the third quarter, bringing the year-to-date growth to 4.6%. Chief Executive Officer Elie Maalouf noted that the performance was bolstered by robust demand across the United States and strong results in the EMEAA region—particularly in Continental Europe and East Asia & Pacific. This growth successfully offset a flat performance in the Middle East and an easing in Greater China caused by adverse weather and holiday timing shifts.

IHG also reported continued momentum in its property development portfolio. Year-to-date, the company has opened 289 hotels and signed 516 properties. During the third quarter alone, 92 hotels opened while 164 properties were added to the pipeline. New builds and conversions contributed roughly equally to this expansion, supporting brands such as voco, Vignette, Garner, and Garner's stablemates.
