Ramayana Set for Massive Global Launch in Nearly 40 Languages

The highly anticipated mythological epic Ramayana is gearing up for an unprecedented international rollout. Producer Namit Malhotra and his team have confirmed that the film will be released in nearly 40 languages worldwide, marking the most extensive dubbing effort ever undertaken for an Indian production.

A Global Strategy

To ensure the film reaches a broad international audience, the production team has partnered with Sony Pictures for global distribution. This strategy follows high-profile promotional appearances at CinemaCon 2026 and San Diego Comic-Con. By offering the film in dozens of local languages, the makers aim to provide a seamless viewing experience that eliminates the need for subtitles.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film features a star-studded cast including Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. The musical score is a collaboration between A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer.

The first installment of this two-part saga is scheduled to hit theaters on November 5, 2026, coinciding with the Diwali holiday. Fans can begin securing their seats when advance bookings open on October 20, coinciding with Dussehra. The second part of the epic is currently slated for a Diwali 2027 release.
