Jersey Airport faced flight cancellations and disruptions for a second consecutive night following unauthorized drone activity near the airfield.
Airport authorities confirmed that inbound flights were affected after drones were spotted in the restricted airspace surrounding the facility. The latest incident follows similar disruptions on Friday evening, which forced three UK-bound flights from Heathrow, Southampton, and Gatwick to be diverted or cancelled.
States of Jersey Police launched searches across western areas of the island, including St Peter and surrounding coastal locations, but no drone operators have been identified. Authorities warned that operating drones near the airfield endangers pilots and passengers.
Police have urged residents across the island to remain vigilant, report suspicious operators immediately by calling 999, and submit any relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to assist the ongoing investigation.
