Thousands Rally in Berlin as Gen Z Plans Protests in Multiple German Cities Thousands of young people gathered in Berlin on Sunday, joining a wave of protests across Germany as part of a nationwide movement against rising living costs and military spending. The demonstrations, which have been planned in cities across the country, are a response to the increasing burden of inflation and the government's decision to allocate a significant portion of the national budget to military spending. The protests, which are largely organized by Gen Z, have been gaining momentum in recent weeks, with many young people expressing frustration over the government's priorities. The movement has been inspired by similar demonstrations in other European countries, where young people are also demanding action on issues such as climate change, education, and economic inequality. The protests in Berlin were peaceful, with participants holding signs and banners with slogans such as "Stop the War" and "Invest in People, Not Bombs." The demonstrations are expected to continue in the coming days, with organizers planning to hold rallies and marches in cities across the country.
