Ukraine Releases Bodycam Footage of Deadly Double-Tap Bombing

Ukrainian authorities have released bodycam footage captured by a fallen police officer, which they state documents the deadly moments of a Russian "double-tap" bombing in the southern village of Kamyshuvakha, located in the Zaporizhzhia region. The attack, which occurred on Monday, involved nine heavy gliding bombs targeting an area where residents had gathered to receive humanitarian aid.

The recovered camera footage shows local residents navigating through rubble following the initial strike before being directed by police into an underground shelter situated near a local school. Minutes later, as a radio warning announces additional incoming glide bombs, a second powerful blast strikes the shelter itself, abruptly ending the recording.

According to Ukrainian officials, the coordinated strikes killed at least 40 people, targeting both civilians gathering for aid and the emergency responders who arrived afterward. President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that rescue operations have continued for three days, with more than 30 individuals potentially still trapped beneath the debris of the completely destroyed shelter.

As international diplomatic developments unfold alongside the ongoing conflict—including upcoming trilateral negotiations planned in Abu Dhabi—the Russian military has not publicly commented on the attack. BBC Verify confirmed the location of the bodycam footage matches the aftermath imagery provided by Ukraine's state emergency services.
