Chelsea vs Manchester United LIVE: Early team news from must-win game
Manchester United's trip to Chelsea in the Premier League is just around the corner, with the Red Devils looking to pick up their first away win of the season. Michael Carrick has made some changes to the starting line-up, with Bruno Fernandes returning to the team after being dropped last weekend.
Fernandes will start in the No.10 role, a position he favours, and will be tasked with delivering a big performance for the struggling United side. The team news is as follows:
Manchester United XI: Lammens, Yoro, Maguire, Martinez, Dalot, Baleba, Santos, Fernandes, Amad, Cunha, Mbeumo
Chelsea XI: Penders, Acheampong, Fofana, Colwill, Palestra, Caicedo, Lavia, Neto, Palmer, Estevao, Rogers
Carrick has defended his captain, Bruno Fernandes, after the two had a clear-the-air talk following the defeat to Como in the Champions League. Fernandes was dropped last weekend after criticising Carrick's tactics, but has been reinstated to the starting line-up.
The match is a must-win for United, who are winless in eight games and sit perilously close to the relegation zone. The pressure is on Carrick to deliver a result, and the team will be looking to respond to the criticism from fans, who have been vocal in their disapproval of the team's performance.
The match is available to watch on TNT Sports 1 and Ultimate, as well as HBO Max. Fans in the UK can also follow the action here for all the build-up and live updates.
