Week 7 of the college football season delivered a chaotic slate of major upsets on Saturday, highlighted by top-ranked Georgia falling to Auburn and No. 6 Alabama suffering a defeat against Tennessee.

Auburn handed No. 1 Georgia a 27-24 loss in Athens, marking the Tigers' first win on their rival's turf in 31 years. Alex McPherson sealed the upset with a 34-yard field goal after Georgia quarterback Gunner Stockton fumbled late in the fourth quarter. The result marks the first time since October 1990 that the country's top-ranked team has lost in back-to-back weeks.

Meanwhile, No. 14 Tennessee secured a 26-10 victory over No. 6 Alabama, snapping a seven-game losing streak against ranked opponents. Running back DeSean Bishop led the Volunteers with 159 rushing yards and two touchdowns, supporting quarterback George MacIntyre in his first start in place of the injured Faizon Brandon. The loss marks the first time Alabama has dropped back-to-back games in the same season since 2013.

The Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) also saw major shake-ups as top-ranked South Dakota State fell 21-10 to No. 11 North Dakota, and No. 8 Lamar lost 34-31 to Southeastern Louisiana in a Southland Conference matchup.
