FIFA President Gianni Infantino told BBC Sport that he is supported by the “vast majority” of the football world, even as the organisation faces scrutiny over the recent World Cup sell‑off.
During a brief interview, Infantino laughed off questions about whether he had considered resigning amid the controversy. He added that the global football community, from national associations to clubs, remains largely behind him.
He reaffirmed his commitment to steering FIFA through the current challenges and to maintaining the integrity of the sport.
