The Indianapolis Colts have shifted their stance and are now willing to trade star running back Jonathan Taylor. According to reports, discussions surrounding the star ball-carrier are active and ongoing.
Although prior reports indicated that team ownership was opposed to trading Taylor, the organization's current trajectory reflects a broader rebuild. While the Colts would still prefer to keep him as part of that rebuilding process, the franchise has opened the door further toward making a transaction happen.
In addition to Taylor's situation, wide receiver Josh Downs has also requested a trade. Reports note that his request may not be entirely necessary given that the organization is already active in trade talks.
A trade involving Taylor would create a major shift for both Indianapolis and any acquiring franchise, as the addition of the standout running back would immediately improve any team.
