The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have officially announced that Dru Brown will start at quarterback for Saturday's East Semi-Final against the Toronto Argonauts at BMO Field.

According to the team's depth chart released Friday morning, the 29-year-old Brown takes over the starting role after handling first-team reps in practice. The move comes as usual starter Zach Collaros has been moved to the one-game injured list due to a ribs injury, leaving him unavailable to dress after being listed as questionable earlier in the week.

Brown enters the postseason following a strong relief performance last week, where he completed all 11 of his pass attempts for 185 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-10 victory over the B.C. Lions that secured a playoff spot. Over the regular season, the Palo Alto native made six starts and posted a 2-4 record, completing 69.9 percent of his passes for 1,687 yards, 10 touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

The Winnipeg lineup features one additional defensive change, with Jonathan Moxey returning to start at field-side cornerback over Trey Vaval. Meanwhile, receiver Nic Demski is listed as a game-time decision after missing practice time Wednesday and Thursday.

The 9-9 Blue Bombers and 9-9 Argonauts face off on Saturday, October 31, with kickoff scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET. The postseason matchup will be broadcast on TSN and RDS in Canada, streamed internationally on CFL+, and available via local radio coverage.
