LONDON — A serious Sunday evening collision involving a pedestrian prompted the closure of a busy stretch of roadway in north London, according to local police.

London Police reported that emergency services responded to the intersection of Adelaide Street North and Glenora Drive at approximately 5:35 p.m. on Sunday. First responders arrived to find that a pedestrian had been struck and sustained serious injuries. The victim was subsequently transported to the hospital.

Following the crash, authorities closed Adelaide Street between Glenora Drive and Fanshawe Park Road to facilitate an investigation by the police Traffic Management Unit. Drivers were urged to avoid the affected area as the closures remained in place Sunday night, with no immediate timeline provided for the reopening of the roads.
