The fixture at Bayern's ground was marred early on for the visitors when forward Bukayo Saka was forced to limp off the pitch with an injury. Despite losing their key attacker in the opening stages, Arsenal regrouped to match the German giants throughout the demanding European fixture.
The result keeps both clubs competitive in the current league phase standings of the continental tournament as the grueling group stage schedule continues.
