Supporters in Nottingham welcomed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with cheers and applause during their first joint royal-style engagement in the UK since their return. The couple visited the city to highlight community projects, returning to the location of their first joint public appearance following their 2017 engagement announcement.
The itinerary began at the Community Recording Studio (CRS), a youth and music organization with a long-standing connection to Prince Harry. During their stop, Meghan joined a confidence-building workshop with young girls, where she shared that her daughter Princess Lilibet has been enjoying gymnastics. The couple also visited Himmah, a local charity in Hyson Green focused on tackling food poverty, racism, and social exclusion, where they viewed cooking classes and assisted at the food bank.
Crowds gathered outside the venues to greet the couple, with many admirers sharing personal stories and presenting cards and flowers. Among the attendees were long-time supporters who had previously met the pair in 2017. The visit concluded with a scheduled stop to Epic Partners in Sneinton to observe youth work, mentoring, and educational programs supported by the Duke over the past decade.
