Trump’s Truth Social Faces Sharp Decline in Traffic

Donald Trump’s social‑media platform, Truth Social, has seen daily traffic fall more than 30 percent over the past year, according to data from digital‑intelligence firm Similarweb.

In October, the site averaged roughly 260,000 daily users, down from a peak of 420,000 in June 2025. The drop leaves the platform far behind rivals such as Facebook, which attracts over 2 billion daily active users, and Elon Musk’s X, formerly Twitter, which draws more than 130 million daily users worldwide.

Despite the decline, Trump remains the most active user on Truth Social, posting multiple times a day. In May, he published 861 posts—an average of 27 a day—more than double the 18 posts he averaged in April. The president’s content mix includes AI‑generated images, positive news coverage, and all‑caps announcements.

The platform also faced legal scrutiny last month when the city of San Francisco sued it over its Truth API service, which charges customers $100,000 per month. The lawsuit accuses the service of “corrupt business scheme” and insider trading.

With Trump’s approval ratings at record lows—only 36 percent approval in a recent Fox News poll—the traffic slump underscores the challenges Truth Social faces as it competes with established social‑media giants.
