Self-described "Crypto King" Aiden Pleterski spoke directly to a Toronto jury for the first time on Wednesday morning, maintaining his innocence during his brief closing statement at his ongoing fraud trial.
Pleterski expressed gratitude to the jury members as the trial reached its closing arguments. Federal prosecutors previously alleged that millions of dollars invested with Pleterski were largely squandered on a lavish lifestyle rather than traded successfully in cryptocurrency and foreign exchange markets.
