A former United States Military Academy cadet is facing a civil lawsuit for assault and battery filed by his ex-girlfriend, following a federal criminal case in which he admitted to drugging her and administering abortion pills without her consent.
Caleb Suh, who was a high-ranking cadet at West Point in New York in early 2022, pleaded guilty in June 2026 to one count of assault within a maritime and territorial jurisdiction. According to federal court records and the newly filed lawsuit in State Supreme Court in Manhattan, Mr. Suh learned his then-girlfriend—identified in court papers as Jane Doe—was pregnant and wanted to carry the pregnancy to term. Mr. Suh opposed the pregnancy.
In February 2022, Mr. Suh visited the victim in her West Point barracks and gave her a drink spiked with Xanax. While she was incapacitated, he forced medical abortion pills into her mouth and vagina. The victim later woke up bleeding heavily, called 911, and was transported to a hospital where she experienced a miscarriage.
