India Rebukes Pakistan at UN for Misusing Global Platform

Raghoo Puri, India’s First Secretary to the UN, stated that Pakistan’s focus on India is a strategic attempt to distract from its own internal crises, including severe economic instability, widespread lawlessness, and documented human rights abuses. Puri further challenged Pakistan’s political legitimacy, characterizing the current administration as a "Form 47 government" that operates under the direct control of the Pakistani military.

Focus on Minority Rights and Sovereignty

During the session, India highlighted the declining minority population within Pakistan, urging the nation to prioritize the welfare of its own citizens. In contrast, Puri defended India’s status as a diverse, multi-religious society, noting that constitutional safeguards ensure the active participation of minority communities in the nation’s government, military, and industry.

Addressing Pakistan’s claims regarding Jammu and Kashmir, India reiterated its long-standing position that the region is an integral part of its territory. The Indian delegation concluded by emphasizing that the only remaining issue regarding the region is the necessity for Pakistan to vacate territories currently under its illegal occupation.
