In Jonathan Van Meter's newly released biography, Citizen Kim, the reality star reflected on her father's passing following a brief battle with stage four esophageal cancer. Kim shared that during their last full conversation while watching a movie together on the couch, her father expressed a strong intuition about her path ahead.

“The last thing my dad ever said to me was, ‘I know you’re going to be good—I can see it,’” Kim told the author. “‘It’s as if I can see what your whole life is going to be like.’” While he did not elaborate on specific details, she recalled him placing his hand on her leg and reassuring her that she would be fine.

Robert Kardashian also used the conversation to ask his daughter to look after her siblings, Kourtney, Khloé, and especially Rob, who was only 16 at the time of his father's passing. Later, when her father could no longer speak and his vital signs were fading, Kim shared her own final words of gratitude to the attorney, thanking him for teaching her how to be a good person and vowing to carry his lessons forward with her own future children.
