The second practice session for the Formula 1 Mexican Grand Prix experienced a temporary halt following an on-track incident involving drivers Liam Lawson and Max Verstappen.
Track officials deployed a red flag to secure the area and clear the track after the contact occurred between the two drivers during the active session. The interruption came as teams continued their preparations and data collection for the race weekend.
Earlier in the day, the opening practice session saw Charles Leclerc set the pace at the front of the field, followed by Kimi Antonelli and other front-runners as the Mexican Grand Prix weekend got underway.
