Nigeria Confirms First Ebola Case as Outbreak Reaches Western Africa

Nigeria's health ministry has confirmed the country's first Ebola case of the current regional outbreak, identifying the patient as a woman who traveled from Uganda.

The confirmation marks a westward expansion of an ongoing Ebola outbreak that has impacted other parts of the continent. Earlier this month, Kenya reported its first case and has since documented a total of nine infections.
