OPPO ColorOS 17 Global Rollout Set to Begin Next Week

OPPO has announced that the ColorOS 17 update will begin its global rollout next week, following its initial debut in China alongside the OPPO Find X10 Pro Max series. The global launch event for the OPPO Find X10 and OPPO Find X10 Pro Max is scheduled for next Wednesday, meaning these devices will arrive out of the box running ColorOS 17.

Global Rollout Schedule and Device Lineup

Following the initial release with the new devices, the system update will expand to earlier models. Around one week after the new X10 series launch, OPPO will begin rolling out ColorOS 17 to the OPPO Find X9 series and the OPPO Find N6 foldable. The subsequent day, availability will widen to include earlier flagship models such as the X8 and N5 series. The distribution will also extend beyond top-tier flagships, with the OPPO Reno16 series also set to receive the new system.

Interface Design and Features

ColorOS 17 introduces Living Flow Design, which refines the semi-transparent visual experience of the interface and provides tactile feedback where interactive elements compress, stretch, or rebound upon touch. This development builds on previous software iterations, following parallel animations in ColorOS 15 and seamless animations in ColorOS 16.

Additionally, the software features AI Mind Pilot with an Agent Mode. This tool can organize and rename photos and files on the device based on content and dates, as well as execute multi-step tasks. Capabilities include selecting all photos from a specific trip to compile an album or generating a vlog when necessary.

System Experience Focus

OPPO emphasizes a comprehensive approach to system smoothness with ColorOS 17, combining Luminous Effect, Fluid Motion, and Flexible Feedback. These elements aim to make the user experience more intuitive and responsive from initial touch through everyday use.
