SEOUL — South Korea's special prosecutor team investigating the National Election Commission (NEC) launched widespread raids on Wednesday following the discovery of additional false vote count entries tied to last year's local elections.

According to the special counsel team, search and seizure operations began this morning across seven locations. The targeted facilities include the central NEC headquarters, four regional city and provincial election commissions, and two municipal district election commissions.

The special investigation remains ongoing as authorities secure records and materials from the raided offices.
