Melbourne sandwich favorite Hector’s Deli has expanded its footprint, opening its ninth venue on Friday opposite the well-known Revolver Upstairs nightclub in Prahran.
Situated in a heritage corner site within the Cecil Place Precinct at 232 Chapel Street, the new shop follows the brand's steady growth since launching its first location in Richmond in 2017. Jono Armao, head of business development, noted that the team aims to scale sustainably at a rate of two to three new sites annually, while leaving open the possibility of a future expansion to Sydney.
Unlike the compact, quick-service format of the chain's CBD locations, the Prahran venue features a distinct diner-style atmosphere complete with booths, bar seating, and floor-to-ceiling windows. According to Armao, the design caters to local residents and families looking for a spot to sit down with a coffee and a sandwich.
The menu offers signature items like the classic beef and pickles, fried chicken sandwiches, and egg and cheese muffins. Alongside the opening, Hector’s is introducing a new pastry lineup featuring plain and almond croissants—supported by the brand's in-house baking, fermentation, and butchering operations established earlier this year.
