Actor LaRoyce Hawkins has departed NBC’s police drama Chicago P.D. following a 14-season run playing the character Kevin Atwater. The Chicago-area native spoke about his departure and reflected on his journey with the series, as well as the fan reactions to his exit.
New Addition to the Cast
Following the departure of Hawkins, the series introduced a new cast member. Naiqui Macabroad joined the program during the fourth episode of Season 14. Macabroad plays officer Donovan “Penny” Watts, a character noted for a friendly nature that aids in field work and bravery when facing dangerous, high-pressure calls.
