Solo developer '墨劍 Ink Blade' is launching the martial arts card adventure game 'Ace of Jianghu' (Korean title: 강호일패: 비정무림) in Steam Early Access. Built by a single creator, the title turns individual cards into martial arts "moves" for a strategic, turn-based card battle system set in a gritty and realistic wuxia world.

Gritty Wuxia Combat and Four Factions

Moving away from fantasy ascension tropes, the game focuses on a raw, human-centric narrative of swords and interpersonal conflict. Players can choose from four distinct factions—Shaolin, Wudang, Sadoryeon, and the Demonic Cult—each featuring three narrative branches across protagonists, resulting in multiple unique story paths. Combat mechanics vary heavily by faction, utilizing specialized mechanics like Shaolin's defense, Wudang's counterattacks, Sadoryeon's buildup, and the Demonic Cult's abilities.

Early Access Details and Future Roadmap

The upcoming Early Access version includes the playable story mode featuring all four factions. The developer personally handled the story, dialogue, and game design, while noting that AI tools were utilized during the coding process.

'Ace of Jianghu' will be released for PC via Steam, supporting Korean, English, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) interfaces, with trailers, gameplay videos, screenshots, and wishlisting currently available on the Steam page.
