An 11-year-old boy who went missing while swimming in Victoria's north has been found dead following an extensive emergency search.

The multi-agency search continued into the following morning, when search crews located the boy's body on Tuesday. Authorities confirmed that the death is not being treated as suspicious, and investigators will prepare a formal report for the coroner.
