A community boxing event in Logan, south of Brisbane, descended into violence on Friday night when a drive-by shooting left four people injured, including a woman currently fighting for her life. While some reports, such as The Courier Mail, have referenced a "10yo" witnessing the event, the incident has been widely described as a "bloodbath."
Witnesses described scenes of terror as gunfire erupted outside the venue. Attendees, including children, were forced to scramble for safety, with many spectators hiding beneath the boxing ring to escape the barrage of bullets.
Victims and Investigation
Emergency services were called to the scene following reports of the shooting. A woman sustained a critical gunshot wound to the head and was rushed to the hospital. Three other individuals also suffered injuries during the incident.
Queensland Police have launched an investigation into the drive-by attack, which has been described by officials as a "horrific" act of violence. Authorities are currently working to identify the perpetrators and determine the motive behind the shooting. No arrests have been made at this time, and police are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area to come forward.
