The 2026 WNBA Finals reached a historic milestone as the Atlanta Dream forced a decisive Game 7 against the Golden State Valkyries. With the championship on the line, the two teams prepared to meet in a winner-take-all matchup at San Francisco's Chase Center.
Atlanta kept its championship hopes alive by defeating Golden State 80-69. Karl Smesko's Dream squad used a dominant first quarter—highlighted by six 3-pointers and a 17-point advantage—to build a lead that grew as large as 25 points. Despite a late push from Gabby Williams and the Valkyries, Atlanta drained 13 triples overall to secure the victory and level the series.
Both franchises entered the finals pursuing their first league titles in what has proven to be a tightly contested, physical series. Game 7 is scheduled for Saturday at 8 p.m. ET, airing on USA Network and CNBC while streaming live on Peacock.
